Kiss not act in tribute to Jackson because Simmons was accused of molesting boys

The organizers of a concert tribute to Michael Jackson to be held in Wales have withdrawn an invitation to the band Kiss to act in the show, it was reported Tuesday. The announcement came a day after Global Kiss Live Events announced that act in concert scheduled for Oct. 8 in Cardiff, Wales. Fans, media and heirs of the singer reportedly noted that the Kiss bassist Gene Simmons, had expressed his belief that Jackson molested children.

Jackson was acquitted of child molestation in a trial in California in 2005. Last year, Simmons said in an interview with Classic Rock magazine that "I have no doubt that (Jackson) has abused these children. Not the slightest doubt. " The president of Global Events Live, Chris Hunt, said the invitation to Kiss was due to "carelessness" you.

"Given the circumstances, we fully agree that while he admired the band Kiss Michael, we have no choice but to withdraw our invitation to act in our tribute concert, "Hunt said in a statement. Kiss spokeswoman was unavailable for comment. This was the latest setback for a show backed by his mother and several brothers from Jackson, but they oppose the brothers Jermaine and Randy.
