Dead Can Dance combine to record a new album and world tour

They say that where there was fire and flame will always be a musical history of Dead Can Dance, one of the most interesting bands in the history of 4AD, you can take to fill several books. Brendan Perry and Lisa Gerrard have announced that back together again to record a new album, the first in 16 years and a subsequent world tour.

Dead Can Dance Spiritchaser released in 1996 and since then the duo has been a bit like the Guadiana, retiring in 1998 and then in European and American tour in 2005. This return, one of the musical events of the year, comes after the departure in 2010 of Ark, a solo album of Brendan Perry was for me the best that was published in the international section.

Brendan Perry himself has commented in the forum of his official website that: This is great news indeed for those who are fans from the eighties of Dead Can Dance. Meanwhile Brendan Perry faces a 13-concert North American tour with Robert Guthrie, a former Cocteau Twins. The musician, producer and composer has also commented on his intentions to record a new studio album after the European tour September
