Beyoncé joins U2 and Coldplay at the Glastonbury Festival

U2 had a 2010 bit complicated. The Bond back injury, which had to undergo emergency surgery to subsequent rehabilitation later forced to cancel all appointments in the months following the accident. A real shame for those fans who were awaiting the moment to see one of the best live today. One of the most anticipated appearances and whose cancellation was particularly painful was the flagship of the Glastonbury festival, whose lineup was dropped a month before the celebration.

However, this year, U2 want to make up for bad luck and release in the Pyramid stage at Glastonbury next edition will take place between 22 and 26 June. Being the festival of the highest caliber in the world, it seems strange that have not yet had a chance to conquer it, but if all goes as expected, this year finally be made with one of the few public who have not enjoyed them.

U2 joins the confirmations that are so far and have left mixed feelings in the music scene. By the time we officially appear on the bill Coldplay and Beyonce, two very different styles together but clearly belonging to a mainstream audience and perhaps a little removed from that often have bands of Glastonbury.

Previous editions have appeared in groups like Gorillaz, The xx, Grizzly Bear, Goldfrapp, Hot Chip, Elbow, Vampire Weekend, My Morning Jacket, Band Of Horses, Glasvegas, Crystal Castles, Bright Eyes and Hot Hot Heat, all of them away from commercial scene itself took the three names we know of the next edition of 2011.

However, they all lived, and some in more than one occasion, with people like James Blunt, KT Tunstall, Keane, The Killers, Kasabian, Nelly Furtado, Black Eyed Peas and Robbie Williams. The blisters that has raised in some conservative sectors Beyoncé confirmation is not fully understood if we review the history of the festival poster, although it is clear that a festival is very much like to be coach of football, you never do like 37 million people.
